For your convenience, you can request resident abstract submission/selection engagement history from the CNS by contacting residentabstracts@cns.org. Please provide the resident name(s) and the range of dates (i.e., CNS, Spine Section, Tumor Section, or CV Section Meetings), and allow two weeks for report.

  • Is your Residency Program's information up to date and current?

To be sure the CNS has the most accurate and current information, we recommend reviewing the program's current listing on CNS's Resident page bi-annually. In order for your residents to enjoy all CNS member benefits, we need to create complimentary resident member accounts for each of them. Please contact membership@cns.org with list of Residents names to confirm they have an account in the system. To update any information for your program, such as contact information or position updates, please complete the Residency Program Information Form. Once submitted, the information will be updated within 48 business hours.

  • How Residents Can Get Involved at the CNS

Encourage your residents to expand their neurosurgical knowledge and enhance their leadership skills through these CNS opportunities:

    • NEUROSURGERY® Publications Resident Fellowship: Provides residents the opportunity to serve on the Editorial Boards of Neurosurgery and Operative Neurosurgery and immerses them in the strategies and mechanics of scholarly publishing.
    • CNS Resident Committee: The CNS Resident Committee offers neurosurgeons-in-training an extensive array of volunteer and leadership opportunities to improve all aspects of residency. Residents serving on the committee determine new project ideas, develop the project plans, and execute those projects while engaging in the CNS leadership structure.
    • Journal Submissions: Your residents are invited to submit their work to Neurosurgery and Operative Neurosurgery. Those interested are encouraged to read each journal's instructions for authors which include information on editorial policy, the online submission process, and requirements per article type.
