    You can make a difference in the lives of your colleagues and the future of neurosurgery by volunteering with the CNS. Volunteer leaders directly impact the focus and direction of CNS initiatives.

    We are currently looking for volunteers for the following opportunities:

    • CNS Guidelines Fellows- if interested, please complete the form on the linked page
    • Education Division - Project Specific (Details below)
      • CNS Guidelines Podcast– The CNS Guidelines Podcast presents conversations on the latest CNS guidelines by the authors, residents, and other experts. CNS is seeking resident volunteers to serve as guest hosts. 

      • Education Course Faculty – CNS hosts virtual and in person courses throughout the year, which have different opportunities to serve as faculty, small group leaders or moderators.  Opportunities available vary by the course and time of year.
      • NEXUS – NEXUS offers Neurosurgeons the opportunity to submit a case to be published in an online library.  Cases are peer reviewed by our NEXUS Committee which is appointed on an annual basis.

      • SANS – SANS question writers work to create new questions to populate CNS’ SANS exams.  Positions for question writers are filled on an as needed basis by the SANS Committee.

    • Member Spotlight
    • Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA)- meeting delegates who are usually residents, fellows, or medical students who volunteer to assist with ticketed scientific events at the CNS Annual Meeting. Sessions include Symposia, Luncheon Seminars, and Dinner Seminars. They are responsible for scanning attendee badges at the start of the session. SAA volunteers are invited to attend the session that they monitor at no cost to them.
